In fact, India’s second most popular smart phone vendor Micromax recently started retailing its first ever Full HD smartphone, the Canvas Turbo A250. Priced at Rs. 19,990, the Canvas Turbo A250 is the most expensive Full HD phone offered by a domestic vendor.
GizBot believes that Indian tech vendors should start offering Full HD smart phones under Rs 15,000. Since most of the international players in India are offering FHD smart phones above Rs. 23,000; it’s time for domestic players to start offering high-quality display smart phones at an affordable price point.

While International vendors continue to offer Full HD smartphones at premium, whereas domestic players grabbed the opportunity and therefore started offering a 720p HD phones under Rs. 13,000. Moreover, the big-ticket handsets from Indian vendors now feature a Full HD 1080p resolution.
Although it is impossible to differ between a handset having a Full HD 1080p resolution with a 720p HD display phone. However, packaging matters to consumers, brands and retailers.
